Is There Anyone Alive? – The Language of Communication in Gaza
Selection and Adaptation for Pame Kaimakli 2025: Jafra Abu Zoulouf
Amid genocide and silenced voices, this exhibition reimagines intimacy as resistance – a means of survival and connection across distance and destruction. Through the gaze of Palestinian photographers, it affirms the right to witness, remember, and remain present when disappearance and erasure have become systematic acts of war. Originally presented in Athens and re-curated for Nicosia, a city divided yet alive with crossings, the exhibition echoes Gaza’s own geography of fragmentation and endurance. Within this shared landscape, intimacy becomes a gesture of solidarity, bridging distances and affirming life where disappearance seeks to prevail.
